Industrial Genotoxicology Group (IGG)
Background
The Industrial Genotoxicology Group (IGG) was founded in 1987 and was originally called the Industrial GeneTox Discussion Group (IGDG). The name was amended several years ago to better reflect our purpose. The main purpose of IGG is to provide a focus group for discussion of issues that primarily affect industrial genetic toxicologists, although we are always happy to welcome anyone who is interested in any given topic. The IGG strives to organise topical, informative meetings and to collaborate with other interested parties, where possible. The meetings are set out to achieve a balance between formal presentations and discussion, but informal short presentations are also actively encouraged. IGG members represent those practising genetic toxicology in an industrial manufacturing company or contract research laboratory, or those attached to a university department that undertakes genetic toxicology research relevant to the field or on behalf of an industrial company.
